Yet the research did not find a current facility-by-facility list proving that every Tillman County record feeds into VINE at every moment. Test the actual name and reporting agency. A released result supports the fact that the reporting source entered a custody release event. It may not state the final court disposition. Nor does it rule out a prompt handoff to another custodian. Ask the Tillman County Sheriff for the release type, date and time, and destination or receiving agency when the event began at the county jail.

Registration does not freeze the data. Keep enough identity and agency detail to check a later alert. If the message says transfer, follow the receiving system instead of describing the event as a community release.
Tillman VINELink Omits Parole Hearings
Oklahoma separates custody alerts from parole-proceeding notice. The Pardon and Parole Board states that VINE does not provide parole-hearing notifications. Its separate victim-notification program addresses parole proceedings and release-to-parole notice. Registering with VINE does not enroll a person in that Board program.
The Board meeting page provides current dates, agendas, and minutes, while its docket and results pages show monthly proceedings. A docket appearance is not a physical release. Even favorable Board action can be followed by required approval, sentence computation, detainer review, planning, and ODOC processing. Use the Board channel for the proceeding and VINE or ODOC for the later custody event.
Note: Keep both confirmation records when a Tillman County case involves parole because the Board event and the custody event answer different questions.
Tillman Registry Alerts Differ from VINELink
Oklahoma's offender registries serve a narrower purpose. The sex-offender registry can show identity, physical details, photo, offense, status, and residence data for people with a legal duty to register. Tillman VINELink Release Check Limits
Automated data can lag. A jail may complete a transaction before the status reaches VINE, or a transfer may make the local record appear inactive. The research also notes a special Oklahoma caveat: VINE can be inactive while an ODOC inmate is transferred to a Department of Mental Health facility, until the person returns to DOC custody. Silence during that interval does not prove release.
Confirm the source: A missing name or delayed alert is not proof of release; contact the reporting agency and trace any transfer.
Federal and immigration records require different tools. Use the BOP Inmate Locator for a federal custody record. A past BOP release date with no facility, or a location of RELEASED, means the person is no longer in BOP custody, but supervision or another custody system can remain. Use the ICE Online Detainee Locator for current immigration detention. An ICE no-result has several possible causes and cannot certify release.
For an urgent safety concern, do not wait for an automated message. Contact the proper agency or emergency service. VINE is useful, but Oklahoma's own guidance warns against making it the only response.
